Common throughout North America red foxes have thrived near people. I read that in London there are over 10,000 foxes living throughout the city. Native American mythology has the fox as an almost constant companion to coyote, however the fox is often deceitful & steals coyote's food. I have always loved coyotes. I had a baby I raised when I was in my teens & although he was okay around me he was terrified of other people or noises. I lived in the mountains so I let him go when he was ready. I kept feeding him but by the end of the summer he never came back.
